Proportions of space
With their recent 'Proportions of Space', Object Density set out to explore our relationship to the different landscapes of the Netherlands. Their table collection seeks to capture the feeling evoked by these spaces, testing out the tension between our built and natural environments. The 94 stoneware pieces of the tables reflect these landscapes through the colour palettes and reduce the reliance upon virgin materials through the glazes.
For this collection Studio Mixtura created glazes that represents the dune sea, sky scape of Texel, an island surrounded by the North sea in at the top of the Netherlands and rich, layered greens of the forests surrounding Eindhoven city.
