Waste Based Glazed Brick (WBGB)

This year Studio Mixtura started a new partnership with Stonecycling. Within this collaboration, we aim to create a collection with new surface designs that can be used for both façade as interior wall cladding. Quarrying is a destructive industry to the environment and has a direct impact on the landscape by leaving tons of waste material, which are not used.

We aim to find aesthetic colourful applications for these types of waste streams, as well as by using waste from local ceramic manufacturers. Contributing to a significant increase in the amount of waste we use in each brick, this aligns perfectly with our project goal and mission of StoneCycling to work towards creating beautiful building materials made from 100% waste.
